I may have missed the discussion but this vote seems pretty meaningless
to me. What happened to all the alternative proposals, such as
swapping Shift/Unshift for Control A? Is this just to shake Timothy
Miller off? I believe we already have. Everyone who's still on the
list doesn't really *object* to Control A, but some of us find
Shift Control A an attractive choice. I am such a person. What am I
supposed to vote for? Conservative (i.e. a YES on the first proposal)
would mean no effort in changing my software, Progressive (i.e. a NO on
both because swapping shift seems to be a wise decision) seems a bit
strong as I am not really AGAINST the current use of Control A to mean
select all.
